Information for Attending Hospital

The Gastroenterology team in Manchester have asked us to update patients on the importance of attending your appointment at hospital.

Patients have been asking us whether they should be concerned about the risk of infection when going to hospital. Our advice is that the risks of missing important diagnosis and treatment appointments are often higher than the risks of attending.

The infection risk while attending your appointment is low. Hospitals have been working hard to keep patients with a positive Covid-19 test separate from those who do not.
